Marie is Arrernte with familial ties to Jingili-Mudburra in the N.T. and acknowledges her people with respect as well as the Yorta Yorta peoples on whose land she is privileged to be living and working on. Marie is passionate about strengthening self-determination in spaces that allow, First Nations enterprise and doing business ‘our way’ has drawn her to KWT. Marie is passionate and advocates for equitable access for our First Nations community members across all areas of life, needs and have embedded the importance of selfawareness, cultural acknowledgement and respect for differences when raising her family. Good governance is practiced across all areas of KWT and the development of policies, procedures and practices is fundamental to working toward independence and growing the philanthropy thread. We need these good ways of working to ensure we build confidence and trust, not just in each other as members or supporters of KWT work, but within our communities. Marie is very proud of the work that KWT does and of being able to contribute to the bridges we are building together.
